Your Battling Beavers completed their undefeated Southwest Ohio High School Hockey League season by beating the Alter Knights in the league Championship final. Junior Thomas Bush got Creek on the board first with a power play goal off an assist from Senior Braden Cox. Alter came back and tied the game a little over one minute later. Sophomore Riley Hanson stole the puck and sped down the rink to drill home a breakaway goal to put the Beavers up 2-1 after the first period. The second period saw one score from Senior Joe Bordas. He drilled home what turned out to be the game winning goal off an assist from Thomas Bush. Creek went into the ice cut with a 3-1 lead. The third period saw Alter try to get back into the game with an early goal in the frame. Braden Cox, Carson Cox, Ethan Webb, and goalie Ben Duford led a stingy Creek defense that fended off Alter the rest of the way. Beavercreek took home the SWOHSHL trophy with a 3-2 victory.
