Beavercreek could not overcome a slow start and fell to Anthony Wayne Saturday afternoon at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo in a pre-season affair. Creek drew first blood on an unassisted goal by PJ Kosir in the first, but Anthony Wayne turn the tables quickly and the Beavers found themselves down 2-1 after one. Beavercreek came out in the second period with a stronger effort and were rewarded with a power play goal by Cole Gutterman off an assist from Joey Duford. Unfortunately, the Beavers were unable to get much going on the offensive end and ended up losing 6-2. Gram Doherty was between the pipes for the Beavers. Creek finishes this weekend trip with a game Sunday at noon against Clay at the Ice House in Toledo.
