Beavercreek battled against the Cincinnati Swords Friday night in front a festive crowd at the Kettering Rec. It was Fan Appreciation Night and the students brought a whole lotta energy to the rink with their Beavercreek Varsity Hockey Rally Towels. After a false start, Creek tied the game on a power play goal from captain PJ Kosir that was assisted by Joey Duford. The Swords responded with another goal and had a 2-1 lead after the first period. Midway through the second, Creek tied it up on a goal from Braden Sanders, which was assisted by PJ Kosir. There were some opportunities by both teams to take the lead in the third, but the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Kevin Bovair was between the pipes for the Beavers and turned away 32 shots. Next up for the Beavers is a 3 PM Sunday afternoon affair against the Elder Panthers at the Kettering Rec. Come out and support the team and your teachers at Faculty Appreciation Night.
