Beavercreek concluded their first weekend of pre-season hockey with a dominating 5-1 win over Dayton Stealth. Chad Peacock started the scoring for Creek on a nifty pass from Joey Duford. Early in the second period Nick Belmonte scored on a one-timer from a pass from PJ Kosir for a power play goal. Stealth scored a power play goal as well in the second and Creek was up 2-1 at the second intermission. The game was close until midway through the third period when Braden Sanders scored with an assist from Chad Peacock. A short time later, Braden Cox tipped in a power play goal that was shot by PJ Kosir at the blue line and deflected by Chad Peacock. In the dying seconds of the game, first year player Joe Bordas scored his first career BHS goal right in front of the paint. Gram Doherty started between the pipes for the Beavers, but split time with Kevin Bovair who finished up the game. Next up for the Battling Beavers is a trip to Toledo next weekend, where they will face Anthony Wayne on Saturday and Clay on Sunday. Nice work this weekend boys!
