The Battling Beavers came out shooting and didn’t let off the gas until the end of the game. Junior Thomas Bush led all Beavers with five goals and the other four were sprinkled among four different players. Bush started and finished the first period with two unassisted goals and Freshman Alex Elsner added the middle goal off assists from Sophomore Owen Huff and Thomas Bush. The Beavers piled on five additional goals in the second period. Bush scored the first two goals of the second period off assists from Sophomore Ethan Webb and Alex Elsner. Senior Joe Bordas added the third goal of the period off assists from Sophomores Joey Donahue and Riley Hanson. Senior Captain Braden Cox got in on the action with the fourth goal of the period on the Beaver power play off assists from Bush and Sophomore Carson Cox. The second period ended with a goal in the final minute from Thomas Bush. The third period was light on goals, but Riley Hanson put the biscuit in the basket with an unassisted short handed score. Freshman Ian Champagne secured the shutout with nine saves behind a stingy Beaver defense.
