Beavers fall to the Generals 5-1

The Beavers had their hands full with the Anthony Wayne Generals Saturday night in preseason play at BGSU Ice Arena.  Creek played the Generals varsity team and hung with them for most of the evening.  PJ Kosir was the sole Beaver to light the lamp and he did so in the second with a power play tally that was assisted by Joey Duford and Mason Mikesch.  Later in the second it appeared that Mikesch tied the game at 2, however, the officials did not see the puck cross the goal line, so the Beavers went to intermission down 2-1.  Unfortunately, Creek could not stay out of sin bin in the third and Anthony Wayne capitalized with a couple of power play goals.  Kevin Bovair was the net minder for most of the game and turned away 20 shots.  Ben Duford was between the pipes for the end of the third and had 7 saves.  The Beavers play the final game of this preseason Toledo road on Sunday at 11 AM at BGSU Ice Arena against the Northwest Eagles.
