Beavers Fall to Tigers 3-1

Beavercreek had an early morning go Saturday against the Cleveland Heights Tigers for what was their opening game of the Walter F. Ehrnfelt Memorial Tournament at OBM Arena in Strongsville.  The Beavers were rewarded for their stellar play this season by getting bumped to the upper division in the Ehrnfelt Tournament.  Even though the competition was higher than they have experienced most of this season, the Beavers hung in there against the Tigers.  Kevin Bovair was strong between the pipes for the Beavers, and ended up turning away 38 shots on the game.  The game was scoreless after the first, however, the Tigers scored two quick goals midway though the second and had a 2-0 lead at the second intermission.  The Tigers scored again in the third period, but Creek finally got on the board when Thomas Bush scored off the rebound of a Cole Gutterman shot.  Unfortunately, that was the lone goal for the Beavers, and they lost to the Tigers 3-1 in what turned out to be a clean competitive game.  Next up for Creek is a game Saturday evening against the Harborcreek Huskies.
