Beavercreek faced the Harborcreek Huskies in their second game of the Ehrnfelt Tournament at OBM Arena Saturday evening. This year’s version of the “Battle of The Creeks” was very evenly matched, however, it was the Huskies that drew first blood with a goal midway through the first period. The score stayed at 1-0 until late in the third when freshman Braden Cox scored on a blast at the top of the circles that was fed by Nate Schivelbein. The Huskies had a hard time staying out of the box in the third and the Beavers tried to take advantage, however, it was the Huskies that scored with a little over a minute left in regulation on a short handed goal. Senior Gram Doherty was magnificent again between the pipes for the Beavers, turning away 24 shots. Next up for Beavercreek is a late morning game on Sunday against the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets.
