Fresh off a 3rd place tournament finish in Strongsville OH last weekend, the Beavercreek Varsity Hockey Team returns home for two big league games this weekend.
So celebrate winter the proper way– at the hockey rink!– and come on out Friday Jan. 22 at 10pm to cheer your Beavercreek Varsity Ice Hockey Team on to victory! It’s the good old hockey game at the Kettering Recreation Center– 10:00pm game time this Friday Jan. 22, 2016 vs St. Xavier. It’s also Fan Appreciation Night and tickets are only $2 for adults, with Beavercreek students admitted FREE (and we’ll again have a decibel meter on hand to see how loud you can get!) Game 2 of the weekend is Sunday Jan. 24 at 4pm vs Talawanda, also at the Kettering Rec Center.
Win valuable prizes, too! Friday night it’s the now famous Beavercreek Hockey “Chuck-A-Duck-Try-Your-Luck-Closest-To-The-Puck-For-Only-A-Buck” contest in between the 2nd and 3rd periods. For only a buck you get to chuck two rubber hockey ducks (or a 5-duck “quack pack” for $2) for a chance to win first prize of 2- $2 vouchers to a Dayton Demolition pro hockey game ($18 value), second prize of a $10 gas card, or third prize of an official Beavercreek Hockey t-shirt.
Ducks, goalie masks, and wild wigs will be on sale before the game Friday– but only a limited number of ducks will be available so get yours before they’re gone for your chance to win big. (And by the way, goalie masks ($2) and wild wigs ($4) are good for free admission to any regular season home game for the rest of the season– a great deal!). And look for the return of the Orange Men (long lost cousins of the Green Men- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSvHHlQtFvs ) who will be tossing pizzas to the crowd!
So again it’s what you’ve come to expect at a wild night at the rink watching the Beavercreek Varsity Hockey Team: Chuck-A-Duck, player intros, Wild Wigs, Orange Men, pizza toss, and of course the student cheering section “The Crease”! More fun than you can shake a stick at!! (our usual disclaimer: please don’t bring a stick to shake) See you Friday at the Kettering Rec Center at 10pm, and Sunday at 4pm!
